【英语口语】超实用！教你如何专业报告英语图表中的数字与趋势！

在各种职场会议当中，

当谈到预算与筹划等项目需要处理图表数字和情势走向时，

常常不知道该如何正确地使用英语去表达，

而这次 Engoo 老师和小编一起合作整理出超实用句型，

教大家如何顺利用英语轻松和外国人聊预算！

第一类：形容增长

skyrocket / soar by 飙涨、暴增

(表示增加的量非常多)

【例句】

Prices skyrocketed during the war.
物价在战时飙涨。

【补充】

skyrocket (v.) 猛升、猛涨

注：销售量、金额甚至是股市大涨的时候，就可以使用

increase / rise to 增加、提升至

【例句】

Our market share was 10 percent, but it has increased to 12 percent because of better sales.
我们的市占率原先为百分之十，但因为销售不错，已经增加至百分之十二。

go up by / to 增长

【例句】

Last month, sales went up by five percent.
上个月的业绩增加了百分之五。

注：业绩增长到 _% 时用 go up to，业绩增长了 _% 时用 go up by

grow by / to 成长

【例句】

The country's tourism industry grew by 10 percent this year.
全国观光业今年成长百分之十。

第二类：形容减少

plunge / plummet / fall (by / to) 暴跌 / 直线下滑 / 下跌至（皆用于跌幅很大）

【例句】

Consumer confidence plummeted last quarter.
上一季的消费者信心指数直线下滑。

【补充】

plunge (v.) 暴跌
plumment (v.) 急速跌落

注：常用于某个数量、某个指数大跌

drop (by / to) 下降（至 / 达）

(表示跌幅很大)

【例句】

Air travel dropped after the disaster.
灾难后的航空交通量大幅下降。

decrease by/ to 减少

【例句】

The country's GDP decreased by $ 270 billion.
这个国家的国内生产总值减少了两千七百亿美元。

注：金额减少、缩减都可以使用这个短语喔！

go down by / to 跌了 / 跌至

【例句】

The factory's output went down by 55,000 units last month because of the strike.
这家公司上个月的生产量因为罢工少了五万五千件成品。

【补充】

output (n.) 产量

第三类：形容改变的幅度

dramatic / dramatically 大幅度的 / 大幅度地

（表示跌幅非常大）

【例句】

The price of raw materials has dramatically increased.
原材料的价格大幅度上涨。

【补充】

raw material (n.) 原料/ 原材料

sharp / sharply 急剧的 /急剧地

(表示速度快、幅度大)

【例句】

1. There has been a sharp decrease in the price of gasoline.
石油价格一直急剧下滑。

2. Sales have increased sharply over the first two quarters.
在春夏两季中，销售量急剧地上升。

rapid / rapidly 快速的 / 快速地

(表示速度快)

【例句】

The economy is growing rapidly.
经济正快速地成长。

significant / significantly 显著的 / 显著地

（形容重要的、规模不小）

【例句】

The workers got a significant raise.
工人获得大幅度的加薪。

【补充】

raise (n.) 加薪

noticeable / noticeably 明显的 / 明显地

（表示规模不小）

【例句】

The cost of the product increased noticeably.
产品的成本明显地提高。

slight / slightly 微幅的 / 微幅地

（表示规模小）

【例句】

There has been a slight increase in competition.
竞争有微幅的增加。

注：想表示没有特别明显的差异，就用这个词表示

eventual / eventually 终将（到最后）

【例句】

I believe our profits will eventually increase.
我相信我们的获利终将会增加。

注：很适合用来作为有力且对未来情形表示乐观的结尾

gradual / gradually 逐渐的 / 逐渐地

【例句】

1. Our financial situation is gradually improving.
我们的财务状况正逐渐改善。

2. We project a gradual rise in sales in the coming months.
我们认为在接下来几个月，销售量会逐渐增加。

第四类：形容稳定状态

remain constant 持平

【例句】

Our profits have remained constant compared to last year.
我们的获利和去年相比是持平的。

steady / steadily 稳定的 / 稳定地

【例句】

There has been a steady increase in the cost of living.
生活费用持续稳定地变高。

【补充】

cost of living (n.) 生活费用

level off 回稳

【例句】

Prices have leveled off. They are no longer increasing.
价格回稳，没有持续上涨。

注：这个短语常用来表示先前变动的状况现在已经稳定下来了！

stabilize 稳定

【例句】

Sales have decreased over the past year, but now the situation has stabilized.
去年的业绩呈现下滑状态，但如今情况已经稳定了。

注：这个短语常用来表示先前变动的状况现在已经稳定下来了！

Andy: Generally, we're in pretty good shape. Thanks largely to a sharp increase in sales during the last two quarters. However, there have been some noticeable increases in our expenses. For example, our taxes have increased by six percent over last year.
安迪：整体来看，我们的财务状况相当好。这主要是拜前两季急剧提升的业绩所赐。但是我们的花费也有一些明显的增加。举例来说，我们的税金在去年就增加了百分之六。
