这么多 "真" ，究竟哪个 "真" 才是你要的 "真" ？

今天小编就带你分辨这四种 "真" ！

True

true 会用来表示某件事实际上是 "正确的" 、 "确实的" 。

【例句】

Is it true that Peter and Emily are getting married?
Peter 和 Emily 真的要结婚了吗？

Her story is only partly true .
她的故事只有部分是真实的。

而 true 的反义词是 incorrect，表示某个事件实际上是 "不正确的" 。

The information you gave us was incorrect .
你给我们的信息是错误的。

和 true 不同的是，real 指的是 "真实存在的" 人或物，

以及 "真实发生过的" 的事情。

【例句】

Achievement provides real pleasure in life.
成就是生活中真正的乐趣。

The new policy could bring real benefits for teachers.
新的政策可以为教师带来真正的好处。

real 的反义词则是 imaginary，表示 "想像中的、虚构的" 。

The story is set in an imaginary world.
故事发生在一个虚构的世界中。

Authentic 会用来表示 "有依据的、可考的真实" ，

常常用来指需要鉴别为真的古董或艺术品，看看例子会更了解！

There is no proof that the document is authentic .
没有证据可以证明这份文件是真的。

Is that an authentic painting from Picasso, or is that a modern copy?
这是毕加索的真迹吗，还是现代复制品？

authentic 也可以用来指 "道地的"

You need to use fresh herbs to get the authentic Italian taste.
你必须使用草药才能尝到最道地的意大利风味。

genuine 基本上与 authentic 相同，

大部分母语者在形容事件或物品时，都会将两者混用！

【例句】

He can distinguish a genuine antique from a reproduction.
他可以分辨真正的古董和复制品。

不过若用 authentic 和 genuine 来形容人的话，两者就有所不同啰！

being authentic 会用来指你做 "真实的" 自己，不怕展现自己真实的个性。

而 being genuine 则是用来形容你用 "真诚的" 方式与他人相处，令他人感到温暖。

He's a very genuine person.
他为人很真诚。
