【英语语法】什么！not 竟然是肯定句？双重否定搞得我迷迷糊糊怎么办

英语跟中文一样都喜欢绕圈圈说话，
不得不 = 一定要，
负负得正，今天小编统整了一些常见双重否定介绍给大家！

There is no N. but V. 没有不...的
让我们来看看以下这个句子：
There is no mother but loves her children.
什么？！没有妈妈爱她的小孩？
这里的 but 其实就是关系代词 who not 的意思。
也就是 There is no mother who doesn't love her children.（没有不爱孩子的母亲。）
让我们再举个例子让大家看看：
There is no one but is afraid of death.
没有人不害怕死亡。
这样大家懂这个用法了吗？

cannot but V. = cannot help / choose but V. = have nothing to do but V. 不得不
以上都指不得不、只好的意思，
指没有其他选择了，记得这句要在but 的后面接动词原形。
让我们一起来看看几个例子。
【例句】
He cannot but borrow money from his parents.
他不得不跟父母借钱。
In order not to make his parents worried, he had nothing to do but tell them a white lie.
为了不让父母担心，他不得不对他们说了善意的谎言。
have no choice / alternative / option but to V. 不得不
跟上面的意思相同，但这里的句型后面必须加 to V。
【例句】
We had no alternative but to take his orders.
除了顺从他的命令，我们别无选择。
At this moment, we have no choice but to wait patiently for the final results.
此时此刻，我们只好耐心等待最后的结果。
cannot help / avoid / resist Ving = cannot stop oneself from Ving 忍不住
这些句子后面的动词都要接 ing，
不知道大家有没有发现这个短语跟第二句 cannot help / choose but V. 很像喔！
不过 cannot help but 不得不跟这里的 cannot help 忍不住不一样。
前面的的通常是负面的，已经别无选择了，
后者也就是这边介绍的 ''忍不住" 系列的句子，
通常没有负面的意思。
让我们来看看以下几个句子：
When we saw his new hairdo, we couldn't help bursting into laughter.
我们看到他的新发型都忍不住笑了出来。
She cannot resist recalling her good old days.
她不禁回想过去的美好时光。
never...without Ving = never A but B 每...必...
这就是很标准的双重否定的样子，
有 never 又有 without，代表一定会...。
而 but 为对等连接词，因此 A 跟 B 的词性必须相同。
【例句】
I never watch this movie without crying.
我每看这部电影必哭。
It never rains but it pours.
不雨则已，一雨倾盆。
never fail to V. = without fail 必定、务必
从不失败就代表务必做到，有时是命令句。
【例句】
I never fail to keep my promise.
我必定信守承诺。
Never fail to come home before it gets dark.
务必在天黑之前回家。
No...without...

不经一番寒彻骨，焉得梅花扑鼻香。
