for example 跟 for instance 可以交替使用，
通常是接一个用完整句子来说明的范例。
【例句】
My boyfriend is really sweet. For instance, he always makes red bean soup when I am on my period.
我的男朋友真的很贴心！举例来说，他总是在我生理期时煮红豆汤给我吃。

跟 for example, for instance 是一样的用法，只是换个说法喔！
同样的，也可以改成 to cite an example 。
【例句】
