首先，时间介词的用法大致差别在于：
at, on, in 表达的时间范围就像是座金字塔，
最顶端的 at 表达的时间范围最小而精确，如：at 5:00、at midnight；
中间的 on 则常用在时间范围中等的日期、星期上，
如：on Monday、on January 5th、on the weekend；
最下层的 in 时间范围最广，表达一段较长且不特定的时间，
从季节、月份、年份、世纪都是 in 表示，
如：in winter、in July、in 2005、in the Middle Ages。
常见的用法分别有：
at + 准确、特定的时间
- at 5:00
- at noon
- at noon yesterday
- at night
- at midnight
- at breakfast time/lunchtime/teatime/dinnertime
- at the same time
on + 特定的日期、星期
- on Monday
- on Tuesday morning
- on Wednesday evening
- on Thursday night
- on January 5th
- on your birthday
- on their anniversary
- on Christmas Day
- on the weekend
in + 世纪、年份、月份、季节、一段较长且不特定的时间
- in the Middle Ages
- in the 1700s
- in 2005
- in the spring/summer/fall/winter
- in July
- in March, 2018
- in the morning
- in the afternoon
- in the evening
- in the past
- in the future

看完上面的用法整理后，有没有发现一个特别的地方?
为什么 in the morning、in the afternoon、in the evening 这三个时段是用in ，
而 at night、at midnight 却是用 at 呢?
night 的用法比较特殊，大致可以如此区分：
- at night
在语意的表达上接近 in the morning 的用法，是指 "在晚上" 的意思。
【例句】
Annie often stays up at night because of her heavy workload.
Annie 晚上常常因为沉重的工作量熬夜。
- on the night
on the night 表示某一个具体日期的夜晚，早上、下午、傍晚都有此用法，
因此在使用上常见 on the morning/ afternoon/ evening/ night of + 具体日期。
虽然以介词 on 来表达更为常见，但在这个用法上仍是有人使用 in 来表示。
【例句】
John had a date with his girlfriend on the night of the Valentine's Day.
John 和他女友在情人节的夜晚有场约会。
- in the night
in the night 表示的是 "这天夜里" ，和 in the day time 是相对的。
【例句】
My grandparents visited us yesterday and in the night we ate out.
我的祖父母昨天来拜访我们, 然后这天晚上我们一起去外面吃。

另外，on / at Christmas 和 on / at the weekend 都有人使用，
可以根据个人使用习惯做选择。
其他时间表示法，以九月为例，若 9/12 为今天：
1. 前天、昨天、今天、明天、后天分别是：
- the day before yesterday 前天
- two days before yesterday 大前天
- yesterday 昨天
- today 今天
- tomorrow 明天
- the day after tomorrow 后天
- two days after tomorrow 大后天
2. 9/6~9/11 已经过去了，所以可以说是 " last ____" 或是 "this past ____"，
而 9/13~9/18 是即将到来的一周，所以可以用 "this ____" 或 "this coming ____" 表示，
例如：
- 9/6：last Thursday / the past Thursday
- 9/11：last Tuesday / the past Tuesday
- 9/13：this Thursday / the coming Thursday
- 9/16：this Sunday / the coming Sunday
