每当此时，除了 "I'm sick." 之外，
还有很多惯用语的表达，
一起来学这些表达让英语说得更地道吧！

as fit as a fiddle 非常健康
fit 表示 "健康的" 意思，而 fiddle 则是指 "小提琴" ，
as fit as a fiddle 表示非常健康，
就像一把状况良好的小提琴，随时可以拉出动人的旋律。
【例句】
My grandmother is eighty years old, but she is still as fit as a fiddle.
我的祖母八十岁了，但她还是非常健康。
the picture of (good) health 看起来非常健康
当我们说某人 is the picture of (good) health 其实就是形容看起来非常健康、状态非常好。
【例句】
The doctor told Jim that he is a picture of good health, and he ran to the basketball court happily.
医生告诉 Jim 他看起来非常健康、状态很好，他很高兴的就跑去蓝球场了。
under the weather 身体不舒服
under the weather 可不能解释成 "在天气之下" ，
它的意思其实是形容人身体微恙、生病不舒服，
也会被用来形容酒醉后的不适。
【例句】
Emma was a little under the weather, so she decided to stay home today.
Emma 身体有点不舒服，所以她决定今天在家休息。
look / feel like death warmed up 看起来 / 感觉病得很重
like death warmed up 是形容人临死前病入膏肓、非常难受的状况，
因此 look / feel like death warmed up 就是指人病得很重、非常不舒服的意思。
【例句】
I'm feeling like death warmed up.
我感觉我现在病得不轻、非常难受。
a frog in one’s throat 声音沙哑说不出话
a frog in one's throat 照字面上翻译就是 "有一只青蛙在喉咙里" ，
这个惯用语是用来形容人声音沙哑说不出话，就像有青蛙在喉咙里一样。
【例句】
After talking for more than 3 hours, she had a frog in her throat.
在她讲了超过 3 小时的话后，她感觉声音已经沙哑到说不出话来了。
go under the knife 开刀、接受手术
go under the knife：到刀子下面，
其实非常直观，就是 "动手术" 的意思，
如果要补充开刀的部位则用 on 来做连接。
【例句】
It's common these days to hear people go under the knife to improve their appearance.
现今听到人们透过手术整容来改变容貌已经是非常普遍的事了。
on one’s last legs 奄奄一息
on one's last legs 是用来形容人奄奄一息、行将就木，
也可以用来指公司濒临破产或物品将要被报废。
【例句】
My computer is on its last legs
我的电脑快要报废了。
a clean bill of health 身体健康证明、报告
a clean bill of health 在医疗方面指的是医生开立的身体健康证明或身体健康报告，
另一方面也可以表示公司营运状况（如规章制度、安排等）良好的合格证明、安全证明。
【例句】
I was given a clean bill of health, and I will go back to school next week.
收到医生开立的健康证明，我下周就会回学校上课了。
take a turn for the better 情况好转
turn 有转变的意思，所以 take a turn for the better 就是指情况正在好转，
而 take a turn for the worse 则是情况变差的意思。
【例句】
Mom cried tears of joy when she knew that our grandmother took a turn for the better.
妈妈知道奶奶的病情好转后便喜极而泣。
on the mend （病后）逐渐康复
mend 有痊愈、好转之意，
因此某人 is on the mend 就是指一个人尚未完全痊愈，
但已经在逐渐康复的意思。
【例句】
Tina's been ill with the flu, but now she's on the mend.
Tina 得了流感，但她已经在逐渐康复了。
