【说明】
fewer 是用在可数名词
less 是用在不可数名词

number / amount
【说明】
number 是用在可数名词
amount 是用在不可数名词
【例句】
A great number of people are working-out nowadays.
现在越来越多的人有运动的习惯了。
She donates a small amount of money to a charity every month.
她每个月都会固定小额捐款给一家慈善机构。
I / me / myself
【说明】
I 是主语
me 是宾语
myself 是反身代名词
【例句】
Mary and I will go to Mandy's wedding.
Mary 跟我会去参加 Mandy 的婚礼。
Please pass me the salt and black pepper.
请递给我盐跟黑胡椒。
Don't worry. I can do it by myself.
不要担心，我可以自己完成。
【备注】
如果主语要讲别人跟自己，要先放别人的名字，再讲 I 。

【说明】
ie 的意思是 "换句话说" ，来自拉丁语的 "id est" 。
eg 的意思是 "举例" ，来自拉丁语的 "exempli gratia" 。
【例句】
This hotel will close during the low season, i.e. from September to January.
这家旅馆将会在淡季，也就是九月到一月，暂停歇业。
Ken is against this proposal, i.e., this proposal will not be permitted.
Ken反对这个提议，也就是说，这个提议将不会通过。
She likes many different kinds of cheese, e.g. cheddar, camembert, and brie.
她喜欢很多不同种类的芝士，像是切达芝士、卡芒贝尔芝士、布里芝士。
it’s/ its
【说明】
it's 是 it is 的缩写，its 是 "它的" 。
【例句】
It is my pleasure to help you overcome this hard time.
能帮助你度过这个难关是我的荣幸。
Ann's house has its own gym and swimming pool.
Ann 的房子有自己的健身房跟游泳池。
主语单复数动词变化混淆使用

Winne 是最聪明的学生之一。
The two most wonderful memories in my life is my wedding and honeymoon.
我生命中最美好的两个回忆是：我的婚礼跟蜜月旅行。
【正确用法】
One of the best students is Winnie.
主语是 one ，别被 students 给骗了喔！
The most wonderful two memories in my life are my wedding and honeymoon.
主语是 the most wonderful two memories，
in my life 只是修饰主语而已，别被骗到了喔！

多余使用逗号
【错误示范】
We cannot go to her wedding, because our mom is in the hospital now.
Which do you want, apple juice, or milk?
【正确示范】

我们没办法参加她的婚礼了，因为我们的妈妈现在正在住院。

错误使用冒号
【错误示范】
People move to California for: the nicer weather, the beaches, and the fantastic food.
【正确用法】
People move to California for three simple reasons: the nice weather, the beautiful beaches, and the fantastic food.
人们移居加州的三个简单理由：良好的天气、美丽的海滩、好吃的美食。
【备注】
冒号是要用在完整的句子后喔！

I wanted to invite her to dinner, however, I changed my mind after I saw her talking to Steven.
【正确用法】
I wanted to invite her to dinner; however, I changed my mind after I saw her talking to Steven.
I wanted to invite her to dinner. However, I changed my mind after I saw her talking to Steven.
【备注】
however 是副词，并非连接词，所以在连接两个句子时，有两种方法：
- 使用分号（这样语气比较强烈）
- 直接用新的一句开始
